I've uses rawrite under dos before and it messes up the fat on
 a dos disk. (I think it writes a few tomany bytes)
 But it could just be the ver I had.

This is only a problem if your boot-stap is ment to find a file
 on the disk using the fat table.

I wrote a util that works for me  www.cris.com/~mhewii/sysa.exe
 I made it for me so it might not have a ~help, and if it kills
 something its not my fault (but it works fo me)
 usage:  sysa filename  it copys filename to the boot sector
 of your A: drive, it assumes its a 3.5 1.44Mb.
 For best use preformat the disk with: format a: /b  
 this will make sure there is nothing in the boot sector to start
 with.  Also if your strap doesnt have a valid BPB dos wont like it.
