I am having problems using RHIDE 1.1b. Having installed DJGPP 2.01 and
RHIDE, I proceeded to use it. Well, 'try to use it' may be a better
phrase.
My DOS mouse driver is gmouse.com, which is as supplied with Logitech
serial mice. A fairly common mouse driver, works with everything else I
have tried. But alas, no mouse cursor appears in RHIDE at all. And then,
when exiting RHIDE, I get no flashing cursor at the DOS prompt. Seems
RHIDE leaves the cursor hidden upon exit.
That experience was better than my previous DOS mouse driver, which was
named mouse.com (unsure of the manufacturer). This mouse driver prevented
RHIDE from starting at all. And this mouse driver also didn't work with
Allegro, so I ditched it in favour of the Logitech driver.
If it may help, here is my config.sys and autoexec.bat -
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\ANSI.SYS
DOS=HIGH,UMB
@ECHO OFF
PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM;C:\DJGPP\BIN;C:\UTILS\Z
IP;C:\BATCH;C:\UTILS
PROMPT $E[37;44;1m$P$G$E[0m
C:\UTILS\MOUSE\GMOUSE.COM
DOSKEY
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D3 H7 T4
SET DJGPP=C:/DJGPP/DJGPP.ENV
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Or I suppose it's back to
using Notepad or Edit...
