It certainly seems that way, doesn't it. Actually, your small solution 
was well worded, and I think something like that should be added to the 
install page of DJGPP. There just appears to be argument for arguments 
sake on this page...

Well, I will endeavour to get moving on my component install/uninstall 
program for DJGPP, hopefully it could be added to the download directory 
and a modified version of readme.1st included. Although I'm only new to 
DJGPP, I've been using C++ for many years now, and have done something 
similar in the past. Anyone got any suggestions, comments, objections to 
this?
