Well, last time I checked, MIDAS'  Gravis UltraSound driver was
non-functional. And programs that used MIDAS (if the computer had a
GUS) couldn't even start up in nosound mode. :( However, that was a
few months ago...

Nonetheless, you might want to check out MikMod as an alternative to
both of those. It basically has all the features as SEAL... Seal is a
bit easier to set up, but MikMod comes with source and is free for
noncommercial use.. and I think only $25 for a commercial lisence.
