If you install Laszlo Molnar's  DJGPP perl5004, there are some interesting 
perl packages that seem to have a lot of xbase functionality.  I've installed
DBD::XBase, but haven't had a chance to use it yet.  (Too rushed - 
still using FoxPro for my xbase work).  You can find perl the same place 
you got other djgpp things.  Check out cpan for the xbase package.
