Well, GRX uses the VESA bios of your card to enter graphics mode.

I see three easy ways to get around:
  - Trim the monitor settings for graphics and let the monitor
    remember it (not all monitors have this feature :(
  - use the utilities that came with your graphics card to trim
    (center/refresh rate/...) the graphics mode
  - Use an other graphics mode

Of course two expensive ways:
  - buy a new monitor
  - buy a new graphics card

It's _not_ a GRX problem, it's a problem of your hardware/software
environment.
