I saw from reading the thread of replys that SWORD was mentioned.
If you havn't seen it I would also suggest checking out allegro.
It has the bones of a GUI that for a polished look need to be filled
out, but It (in my opinion) tends to run faster than SWORD and is much
easier to understand and hack.
