Can the iostream library be coerced to throw exceptions when there are I/O
errors? If so, what exceptions will it throw, since there is nothing in the
iostream info file about excpetions.
If an iostream develops a fail or bad state, is there a method to get some sort
of error number or other information? This, too, is not covered by the info
file.
The iostream info file leaves a lot to be desired IMO.
