I met similar problem with versions 2.7.2.X. That is fixed 
in libstdc++ 2.8.X. You could try to upgrade to gcc-2.8.0 but I recommend 
to wait a bit before gcc-2.8.1 with corresponding libraries will be    
be released (I working with DJGPP port of gcc-2.8.1 already for more 
than a month).
