http://www.inp.nsk.su/~bukinm/allegro/ has a port of Allegro 2.2 to 
X-Windows, by Michael Bukin. I believe that he is planning to update
this to Allegro 3.0.

On the WIP page of the Allegro site you will find an unfinished port to
linux console mode by Mark Habersack: this is potentially much faster
than using X-Windows, but is not ready for serious use yet, and I don't
think that Mark is actively working on it at the moment.
