I had this problem and it was fixed by putting a *tab* as the seperator (two might be required I can't remember). They have to be tabs not spaces! I just checked the info docs and it says tabs are required. Make sure your editor keeps tabs and doesn't turn them into spaces. eg target.exe : target.o [tab][command line] David.
