When I try to compile a .rc file with grc, it tries to locate cpp but canīt
find it. Do I need it ? and where can I find it ?

In this case it is true.

But I had a problem where I had a NULL pointer for a file and gcc let it run
without complaint wheras MFC crashed on the same code. The only reason I used
MFC was because I hunted another bug and that made me note that bug as well.
