Can you do an
NDIR loginfo
and tell what it says?
I am pretty sure this has nothing to do with LFN issues, you might cross
check that when running rcs on a DOS6.xx machine without
LFN.
I vaguely remember having problems with RCS on networked drives
because NW rights differ in a subtle way from DOS rights.
Under on a local drive, this works:
echo "Hi" > foo
attrib foo +r
ren foo bar
You end up with a write protected file bar.
On a NW drive, this fails because write protection
includes renaming, thus it *is* forbidden.
Your failure (well, RCS's ;-) may occur on another place,
but in a similar context. I'll download the RCS sources
and have a look at them.
