libstdcxx.a is a borderline case, since the name was invented by DJGPP
to replace the original libstdc++.a.  So it might be that this case
could be left alone.

But in general, I think that we need to always use the original long
names, since otherwise the Makefile's and shell scripts that come
with the GNU packages will need much more work to get right on both
DOS and Windows 9X.

Also, in defence of Robert's decision to rename to libstcxx.a I can
say that sometimes it is very hard to expect people not to figure out
such simple problems.
