Less fragmentation on a bigger hard disk. A 1GB drive must be pretty cluttered in
this day and age. Also, the 1GB drive is probably not Ultra DMA 33, whereas the 9GB
drive almost certainly is (I think Mode 33 drives are only made in sizes 3GB+ ?). Or
it could be SCSI II.
