Hi Guy ! Your error is ..... when you define some functions, you HAVE TO write it somewhere. Where are the functions : Thing::number; Thing::str; Thing::print; This functions are the virtual part of your object Thing, so the linker can't find the virtual table, because it doesn't exist .... When you'll write the body of this functions, You program will work... ;-) KAMY
