It's so about namespaces with gcc-2.8.1. 

They are supported in egcs-1.1 and later (see v2gnu/beta for BETA version
of DJGPP port of egcs-1.1.1). However I cannot say how fully these
things are supported.

At least You should be prepared for problems with linker when STL is
being used. Command line option -frepo can help but the experience shows
that not always
