That is (IMHO) exactly the reason why even a novice should find one
programmer's editor (aka IDE) that can be used with many different
compilers and on many different platforms, and stick to that editor
thereafter. Otherwise, you are doomed to be a novice every time you
switch a compiler or an OS.
