See section 8.7 of the DJGPP FAQ list (v2/faq211b.zip from the same
place you get DJGPP), it explains the possible reasons for this
problem, and how to solve it.

(Come on, people, this is the only section number I know by heart.  
Please, PLEASE read the FAQ whenever you have problems...)
