From what? if you mean I upgraded from Win98 to NT I think you downgraded in 
terms of DOS support (and date of release, and tools available, etc.)

What is wrong is just a mistery, is a bug in NT. I tried to find it using NT 
4.0 SP3 spanish version, but this spanish version is even more broken than 
the english version, is just impossible to run any application that uses 
mouse and screen (Norton Commanders crashes all the time for example).
About RHIDE: Did you tried the -M switch?
Run RHIDE -h to get help about the command line options.
