this is true.  i was corrected on this earlier, and when I started using my
brain, I remembered that.  C++ is implemented using a runtime support
package (just like C) only, the RSP for C++ is very extensive, and this code
is what allows the a lot of the stuff that C++ does, although a lot if it is
also handled by the compiler (especially templates) and using pointers and
vtables.
