Don't reinvent wheels. There are already multiple ports of gcc to
win32: concentrate on making these better rather than duplicating
all that effort. Allegro has been running on Windows for ages now, 
and a lot of the current development effort is going into making 
this better. If you want to see signs of this "concerted effort",
why not subscribe to the cygwin mailing list, the mingw32 mailing
list, or the Allegro developers mailing list?
