Generally not, assuming your monitor and video card are less than about
10 years old.  (Apparently some Hercules stuff could get toasted under
some conditions.)

It is theoretically possible to trash your data; while I haven't heard
of buggy self-written programs doing this under DJGPP, backups are
always a good idea.
