just installed djgpp and am having problems with the environment variable. get
message: error in djgpp installation ... when I run gcc , or go32-v2.
enclosed is
the environ.lst file from DOS set > environ.lst command. note that the
directory Djgpp
created under windows95 has first letter in upper case. windows95 will only
let me
create a folder/directory this way (cant set it to upper case only). when I
use the DOS
edit command to modify autoexec.bat , I tried to enter the directory name
this way (with
the 'D' in Djgpp upper case). According to the environ.lst output, this
worked for the
set djgpp statement, but the set path=c:\djgpp\bin statement has the djgpp
directory
converted to ALL uppercase. can the problem of not finding the environment
variable be
something as idiotic as this case sensitivity or is there something else
involved? help!
