did you add the DJGPP variable to c:\autoexec.bat ?
it should read:
SET DJGPP=<dir where you installed djgpp>\DJGPP.ENV
and did you add the bin dir to your path ?

SET PATH=%path%;<DJGPP dir>\BIN;
