I have been programming for some time under Dos/Win98 using Turbo C++, but
when my ancient version of the program appeared unsuited for my computer
(errors while allocating memory) I decided to get a new compiler. DJGPP thus
seemed ideal, not only far more up-to-date, but free.

I downloaded DJGPP, RHIDE and Allegro and installed them in what I believe
was the correct manner. However, when I attempt to compile/make/run
something with RHIDE a strange error message occurs:

Error: c:\djgpp\bin\ld.exe: Cannot open -lstdcx: no such file or directory
(ENOENT)

In the process window, when GCC is called it is being so with two
parametres, -lalleg and -lstdcx. -lalleg is there because I added it, for
Allegro, but -lstdcx I have no idea where it comes from, only that it
doesn´t work. I tried checking env.-files and configurations and the like,
but I don´t see it anywhere. Should RHIDE do this? And should it fail while
attempting to? And if not, how do I go about correcting it?

Grateful for aid,

Kristoffer Forslund
