FWIW, I think that binary zips should include ONLY formatted man pages. We don't want to request end users to install Groff (it's a large package). But if you do have unformatted man pages, you don't need to run for the Unix box, since the ported Groff will let you format them on your machine. See section 5.5 of the FAQ for details.
