With the delorie server back up, it was short work to search and find the business about self-righteous compilers chastising old asm code. It would of been nice to have found this mentioned in the "known bugs- that aren't bugs" in the GCC home page, better yet to have the link to the patches. Now I've gotta find patch and try it. Thanks for not excommunicating me for my impatience and impertinence. Tom
