Well, the problem appears whenever you include any call to some conio 
function. It is no necesary to execute the function, only that it is in 
the program!

    printf("hello\n");
    getchar();		// why do I get an 80 cols console?
    exit(0);
    gotoxy(5,5);		// because this
    return 0;
    }
