It will work, but maybe you will use the same type of power supply connection in another project? I recommend that you create your own footprint for the connection. Then you will have exact the same results every time, but you only need to create the footprint one time, and it is very easy to do! :) Footprints, like all gschem and pcb files, are plain text files. Open a simple one in your prefered text editor to see how they work. Then visit: http://www.geda.seul.org/wiki/geda:pcb_footprints And in particular read Stuart Brorson's excellent footprint guide.
