initstate

Syntax

#include <stdlib.h> char *initstate(unsigned seed, char *arg_state, int n);

Description

Initializes the random number generator (see section random) with pointer arg_state to array of n bytes, then calls srandom with seed.

Return Value

Pointer to old state information.
